"Soft Field takeoff" definition is a opperational technique to get the airplane airbourne as quickly as possible to eliminate drag to due runway surface, or in this case my pilot friend used to aid with the weight of the three of us using a notc of flaps. Runway length at 4d0 is 3,200ft. There's some nice related video's like mine saying Soft Field Takeoff. Very cool seeing the end of the runway.
