  • You've killed the sustained with all those rivets.

  • I didn't make the rivets, there are yet.

  • Yeah, this is one of the last of those cymbals by Zildjian to be made over there. Also, ummm breathing isn;t an issue, it's a jazz cymbal. In person, it makes it sound like a chhh sound? That's the best I can put it.

  • Yes. It's a fantastic cymbal.

  • Dude! Zildjian and Istanbul are two different brands.

  • Yes I know, but this is a Zildjian made in Istanbul, not a Istanbul cymbal.

  • Talk about ruining a vintage cymbal with way too many rivets!

  • there are way to much rivets. If you leave only 3 it will sound better.

  • @playloudsalaprove take out 70% of them and you´ll get a nice cymbal

  • @spingdee I don't usually like to use this type of expression, but sometimes it suits so right that I can't help it. YOU ARE A RETARD!!! You commented this 2 years ago and it's still coming back to you. Hopefully by now you've learned a thing or two about sound quality, history, value, advantages of aging woods and alloys and especially in cymbals, about original hand made turkish craft-manship and tradition, which is the epitome of great cymbal smithing. If you haven't learned, GET A CLUE!!!!!!

  • id be willing to bet that one rivet would do the best job :P who knows.

  • I suggest to all you guys to constitute a "World cymbals license", to save amazing cymbals from wrong's hands!! Think about Elvin, Art, Tony, what they can think? they are crying somewhere!!!

  • It's a really good cymbal, but please, suggest to the owner to give the cymbal to someone else who can play it, please,my heart is crying seeing something like that!!!

sorry but I couldn't hear a cymbal like that to be played in this way :-((

  • I hate to see this happen to what was probably a good cymbal

  • @bangindamusic84 What? I never said I haven't heard of K Zildjian Istanbul cymbals.

  • @kraastopher Hahahaha, never heard of old K Zildjian Istanbul cymbals? You better do some research before you say something like that, man. The best, greatest sounding, most beautiful new modern cymbal in the world will never compare to a good old K, both in sound and price.

  • @SplitHoof You gotta love guys like this spingdee. Bold in his command of the truth without an ounce of knowlege. In fact almost every word he said was the exact opposite of the truth. I have three new sets (Gretsch/Gretsch/Ludwig) all sound awsome, but none of them can reproduce the sound of my 60's Slingerland jazz kit. I wish I could afford a nice set up of old K's, but for now I'll settle for my Agop's. Cheers!

  • @playloudsalaprove wtf does that even mean? "there are yet"? WTF??
