J.S. Bach: Chaconne BWV 1004 - Andreas Lindae

Dear friends,
this is the Chaconne in d by J.S. Bach, guitar version played by me in June 2011 Bach wrote the partita BWV 1004 originally for the violin. A. Segovia and many other guitarists transcribed it for their guitar. Thus there are many different versions available. I hope you enjoy this long piece although it's not a perfect recording.

Hi Jasmin, eigentlich hast Du recht. Segovia hat sich auch gesträubt, das öffentlich zu spielen. Ich fands aber auf Gitarre schon immer besser als das Original auf der Violine.

Es ist wirklich eine Herausforderung. Aber manche (wie z.B. ich) brauchen sowas ja immer...

You play beautifully. Your guitar looks very much like my Rosa (1976 Dieter Hopf). It has the same rich tone as Rosa and it looks like you have a cedar top. Indeed, the tone is so similar. Anyway, your performance here is truly excellent.

Hi Ron,

thanks very much! Yes this is a cedar top and also from the 70th (1977). Indeed I remember the Hopf guitars from this time since my teacher had a guitar shop! They are pretty excellent and I bought this one only because it was a bit cheaper due to some blemishs.

das Stück das habe ich jetzt auch angefangen zu spielen! Und ich kann nur eins sagen,

dass ist ein verdammt schweres Stück, und ich komme nur langsamm voran...

Aber ich liebe Herausforderungen!

Wenn ich es einigermaßen spielen kann, dann stelle ich das hier rein...
