@rentatrip1 Bostic is surely one of my idols. I don't think he had children. He was a complete musician and a master of the horn. The kid may have had some great stories of his uncle.

@freeport54 - in 1979 I was stationed in Army Artillary School Ft Sill, the soldier walking towards me his shirt label says BOSTIC so I says , you any KIN to Earl Bostic well the Boy Plum goes nuts because nobody outside his family knew who he was ... that is i was speaking to Earl Bostic's Great Nephew... we struck up a good friendship because My Father grew up on Jazz & so did I listening to his old 78's
