The Museum of the Moving Image is proud to be honoring one of our great friends and supporters, as well as a terrific actor, activist and consummate New Yorker, " stated Rochelle Slovin. "His work in film, television and theatre is outstanding - he just received his 5th SAG Award. He is a diverse and entertaining man, and it is fitting that Alec Baldwin becomes our 26th Honoree."

The evening, produced by Scott Mauro Entertainment, will include remarks by a stellar group of Baldwin's friends and colleagues, as well as numerous scenes from his career.

As the 26th Honoree, Alec Baldwin joins the ranks of past honorees who have received the Museum's Salute, including Clint Eastwood, Ben Stiller, Tom Cruise, Will Smith, Ron Howard, John Travolta, Richard Gere, Billy Crystal, Mel Gibson, Julia Roberts, Steve Martin, Tom Hanks, Dustin Hoffman, Goldie Hawn, Martin Scorsese, Robin Williams, Steven Spielberg, Al Pacino, Barbara Walters, Robert DeNiro, Mike Nichols, Sidney Poitier, James Stewart, Elia Kazan and Sidney Lumet.

Museum of the Moving Image is the only institution in the United States that explores the art, industry and innovation of screen culture in all its forms. From 19th century optical toys to the latest Internet developments, the Museum provides insight into every phase of the production, promotion and exhibition of moving images. Engaging an international audience of all ages, it offers a distinctive, highly interactive core exhibition; contemporary and retrospective programs of films from around the world; public discussions with leading figures in film and television; a unique collection; inspiring education programs; stimulating changing exhibitions; and groundbreaking online projects. The annual Salute raises vital funds for the Museum's programs.
