Pokemon - Getting to Glitch City (and why it works)

This is a purely logical video explanation of how Glitch City can be reached in Pokemon red/blue, There were no cheats used in the video.
Here are the "states" mentioned in the video

1. Conversation started, never visited safari zone before
2. Conversation started, safari zone already visited
3. Paid, entered, time started
4. Normal safari zone exit
5. Requesting to exit safari zone
6. Bad programming :) Actually, for all I know, there is a very valid purpose for state 6, but I don't know why it is used here.

How did you find out about this and missingno? did you just start collecting data and put all the pieces of what you found out together to make a glitch? or did you simply stumble onto this by mistake? if you know, rerply to this telling me how you found this out plz

@Awesomereviewsandmor I found out about missingno by messing around in the waters by cinnabar island and the seafoam islands. It's kind of a backtracking game. You find something weird and you retrace each individual piece of what you did until you find something that consistently makes something out of the ordinary happen. Once I found (or heard about) a glitch I opened up the memory viewer for the rom and located a few spots that looked like they lined up with what I was doing in the game.

And then you can fish for Mewtwo, Snorlax, Missingnos that evolve into Kanghaskans and battles with Gary's glitched up roster lol good times

Basically you trick the game into believing that you're still in the Safari zone when you're not.
