The one arm dumbbell row is a great exercise for massive back growth.

Make sure to use a bench to really activate both your back and your core. By doing only 1 arm at a time you are able to recruit more back fibers and nerves.

Make sure to focus on your "Mind Muscle" connection.

Also make sure as you watch the video to punch with your opposite elbow to fully engage your core.

Your Coach,

  • Holy fuck it looks like Marcus Davis on steroids.

  • any particular reason you rest your forearm on an incline bench instead of placing your hand on a flat bench? is it just personal preference or is it something else?

  • great way to show the right tehnique.I will try this tomorrow when it is my back workout....

  • @TheSeandog1234 thanks...

  • @rhdtv2002 This is one you should use a lighter weight for and try to squeeze at the top and slowly let the weight down. Wide grip pullups are the most effective lat exercise, these are more of a supplement to your main back workout, and I would recommend doing them near the end of your workout. Check out Scooby1961's channel for some great advice!

  • @TheSeandog1234 I have just started training my lats - and i have tried dumbells rows and really do not feel anything happening..Do I need to go heavy for this and turn in your shoulder blade in and the top?

  • @rhdtv2002 A stretch is certainly a good thing, but it's also rather dangerous to allow a weight to stretch your muscle out. If you keep you shoulder locked back throughout the movement, you engage you lat the entire time and decrease the risk of injury to your rotator cuff and lower back.

  • @TheSeandog1234 how else would you get a stretch..stretch is a good ting isnt it..

  • You shouldn't drop your shoulder like that.

  • textbook row

  • thx

  • either that random girl is thinking "akward!!!" as she's walking by or "give it to me" as she's waiting on the side
