Taos Muncy "won" the Cheyenne Frontier Day Rodeo saddlebronc "championship" on a SHOCKED horse, and everyone knew the fix was in. Here is the proof, close up and slow motion. This is what passes for "sport" in the cruel and corrupt world of rodeo.
In 2009, unwilling to stop its abuses, Cheyenne instead banned video cameras.

@schicze: Hey! You are putting a sterotype onto all those involved with rodeos. We DON'T abuse our children or our animals. That was really uncalled for.
rmkid900: Because their cussing isn't directed at us. You want to comment to us, speak civilly. However anyone else wants to answer when you cuss at them is their prerogative.
Ya'll are a bunch of whiners. I have been hit by the prod at the same time the horse was and still rode. I think a little snap and tingle isn't gonna go make the horse go kill itself or run it to a life of drugs and alcohol abuse. The prod is so EVERY cowboy has the same chance as the next to put on his best show and get a good score. That horse was pry on his last leg of the rodeo circuit and pry had quit bucking like a broke horse. Ya'll are just dumb with the animal abuse crap.
jjmyers130: "The prod is so EVERY cowboy has the same chance as the next to put on his best show and get a good score." And yet it is against the rules.
@jjmyers130 well the prod is illegal in rodeos, and how can you say we are dumb with animal abuse "crap". Its obvious u dont care bout anything but urself, we ANIMAL LUVERS CARE ABOUT ANIMALS! we are selfless who are willing to help others!
It basically breaks down to Bullies picking on the helpless for their entertainment. The reason these people are into this is because they find entertainment in harming others. Their wives make excuses for the black eyes and the kids do not speak for fear of feeling the wrath of the dominant father. A true rodeo that could be entertaining would be one of these "cowboys", bare handed, mano y mano, in a small fenced area with a pissed off bull, winner is the last bull standing.
wow, a cattle prod does not have enough electricity to really harm an animal, and is used routinely on cattle and stock horses. Ive had a cattle prod used on me before (older siblings, what can i say) and its shocking, but doesnt hurt and DEFINETLY doesnt cause any lasting damage.
Alliluvarap: The shocking, as it was done in this video by PRCA members under the nose of PRCA judges, is against PRCA animal welfare rules. Regardless of the harm factor, they are violating their own rules.
