@rockthecityatnight Maybe it is because the last time a militia actually did something was in 1914 in Ludlow, when they shot and killed 17 people on strike?
Besides, what good could they possibly do now? Either a tyrannic government will gain control over the military or not. If it doesn't, it will not stay in power. If it does, there's nothing any militia would be able to do to stop them. Iraqi insurgents couldn't, and they had relatively very much training and experience.

The militias are a natural part of a free nation, and there is nothing new about them in the United States. As long as the United States exists the militias will exist with her. I don't fear the militias, but I do worry about those opposed to them.
