That couple in Nightmare in laos , were up to their necks in dodgy dealings with the Lao government , gem mines etc . They were making millions of $ out there and they got scammed by the government , don't think you can open a gem mine in Laos and think its going to be easy . getting caught with a bit of smoke in Laos is not in the same league , like most asian jails money talks .
Rule No1 don't do drugs and don't open a gem mine !
