I think I know why she smiled. You know how Len kept repeating time to stop her from getting killed right? We notice how at the end when he pushed her out the way of the truck, Len smiled because he was able to save her. And Gumi also had a shadow person like Len did. So maybe she was going through the same thing constantly saving him so she would die instead. That may be why she was smiling. Because she was happy to save him.

@MikuAngel01 I think it is, and I guess they are just playing them in some roles, but sometimes their actually playing themselves, and for the fun thing, Idk, I wrote that because it sounded good in my head, then it was in the comment box, and then it was posted XD

@MikuAngel01 it hasn't been confirmed as to whether their being sold as twins in america yet, it's just a rumor, and until it's confirmed, it's the same, mirror images. I honestly think that selling them as twins is stupid, because that takes the fun out of cute songs like Rin Rin Signal and Migikata no Chou because it makes them incest, so ,yeah.

@technojunkie123 ,true.but if one day two Voca-fans got into a fight because they disagreed on a Voca-pairing say MikuxLen and RinxLen, and one of them died in the fight, and the creator of Miku ,Len and Rin ,Itoh Hiroyuki happens to see this in the news and becomes afraid of this happening again he just has to stop Voca-pairings right? Since Rin and Len are twins in America,Itoh-san will have to stick with that and annouced it to Japan and the whole world 'cause it won't be confusing.

They say it like they created Vocaloid and what they say is "true" and "official".bleh~ Whenever i read these kind of things i feel like scolding or beating up the person who even created Voca-pairings! I think the only way to stop this is for Crypton to annouce Rin and Len's connection with each other as twins or siblings,because i think that is the main reason why this Voca-pairing thing came about~
