I still can't believe a high school senior had a chance to see a championship game (LAST BEFORE SUPER BOWLS). Let alone dragging my movie camera with me. We had to sweep the snow off with our hands in order to sit down.
Not only this game, but the week before I got to see the Packers vs. Baltimore Colts game at Lambeau where Don Chandler's controversial field goal kick to win the game came straight towards me (and to the left of both field goal posts... not good)
Eastern Conference champions Cleveland Browns (11-3) were the defending NFL champions. The Western Conference champions Green Bay Packers (10-3-1) had defeated the Baltimore Colts a week earlier in a Western Conference play off. The Packers were making their first appearance in the championship game since 1962.
Note: This is Jim Brown's last game #32 .... unbelievable runner. Retired in his prime. Crowd tore down goal posts afterwards. Quality has degraded, but there was a perfect example of the packer sweep with Paul Hornung.
Nice job with the camera sneak-in. TSA wasn't as tough back then, huh?

This is just how film cameras looked back then, right? Reel to reel? Because I'd hate to think this is the quality everybody was watching at home.
