The wiring is almost there - at least in its prototype form. However still haven't got the wheels turning, because I am missing €3 relay and €1 worth of American standard 5/16th nuts for the fuses... oh yeah, and the accelerator pedal is going to be a headache.

  • I agree EXCELLENT. Where did you get the boxes in the front with the electricity symbol on them?

  • Thanks for the encouragement! The boxes are standard electrical IP boxes from a DIY store, and I found these oversized warning triangles :-) there too, fun, hé?

  • @izzzzzz6 yes the battery wiring has remained the same, in fact it is over-sized @ 50mm2. Standard current is about 80A to 100A, peak should be about 150A and if you work it out even 25mm2 would have been OK but I doubled that as the extra cost is marginal. One of the main issues is voltage drop, there is practically none (like 0.5V if I recall). (Or are you looking at the 12V circuit? Again, the issue is amps, not (just) volts, most of the time the power going through the cables is limited).

  • Hi, i'm enjoying watching your conversion videos, did you keep that battery wiring? It looks a bit on the lightweight side! Thanks for the info and motivation.
