Hey mine does this also, bought in December, 2006. It only started a couple of months ago and only occurs when I open it from sleep mode. It lasts for about 5-10 seconds.

Call Apple, or go to the Apple store if you live near one. They will fix it for free.

It'll be a year old this month. It's a 2.16GHz C2D.

I see. Have you brought it to a local store to have it checked? It's still on waranty if you have AppleCare...

Yes, the LCD screen and the LCD inverter were both replaced under Applecare warranty. It doesn't buzz anymore.
