  • Placido Domingo does it way better.

  • @ChoclateChipCookezz yes it is difficult. he uses the theme where the sopranos enter after the tenor solo in the beginning several times in the Requiem - as an organ solo in Domine Jesu Christe, and in Dies Irae. it also is switching between 4/4 and 7/8 time signatures. while i do enjoy Lloyd-Webber's music very much, i will admit he has a great tendency to use several themes over and over again, and if you listen very closely to the wor youll hear about 4 themes that repeat in various forms

  • @Doug19752533 well i imagine it would be somewhat a difficult difficult peice to preform i find that in mr.lloyd webbers work of cats the musical the beat i just noticed is similar with the symbols and the way its performed reminds me of jeclicle songs for jellicle cats with them singing of hossana with the female and male voices reminds me of when they say ''bark bark bark bark untill you can hear it al over the park'' in the battle of the peeks and the policles both very nice songs from cats

  • @ChoclateChipCookezz its a very interesting work. i first heard it in '92 when i saw the casette in a music store. being a Lloyd-Webber fan i bought the sheet music and studied the score. the Pie Jesu is brilliant, as is several of the solo movements (Recodare, Ingemisco). Lloyd-Webber never intended this to be a popular work (other then the Pie Jesu it is rarely if ever performed) but a memorial to his father. it is certainly an eclectic work with bizarre harmonies and rhythms but lovely too!

  • @Doug19752533 thanks i had no idea about this whole entire requem until it was on a playlist for andrew lloyd webber i <3 youtube

  • @ChoclateChipCookezz Latin - "Hosanna in excelsis, benedictus qui venit in nomine Domini" which means "Hosanna in the highest, blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord"
