Find out more about rainwater collection at http://www.watercache.com/

Innovative Water Solutions installs two 10,000 gallon fiberglass cisterns in a rainwater collection system that will be the drinking water supply for our client. The rainwater harvesting system collects rain water from a 4,000 square foot barn. The system has a filtration and disinfection system which creates the potable water from the rainwater.

  • Nice. That may take a while to fill up, but it should take some time to deplete, as well. Cool setup.

  • The collection area for this rainwater harvesting system is approximately 5000 square feet. Therefore, it would require about 6 1/2 inches of rain to fill the tanks (a total of 20,000 gallons). Not much rain in the scheme of things. The important thing is the amount of collection surface.

My version is a 55 gallon drum in the garage. The homeowners association has not clue.
