On Saturday, March 25th, a historic convergence took place at The Annenberg School for Communication. About 40 journalists, news organization representatives, bloggers and news junkies gathered for NORGS The UNconference. The mission of the day was to envision how news organization will be constituted in the coming years. With the future of Philadelphia's two major dailies in question, the timing could not have been more relevant. The term "Norg" was created by Will Bunch, resident blogger at The Philadelphia Daily News. Mr. Bunch, Wendy Warren, news editor at The Philadelphia Daily News, Karl Martino of Phillyfuture.org, Susie Madrak of Suburban Guerrilla, along with many others were instrumental and making sure this discussion took place.
