Sen. Kyl is NOT a public servant but rather a tool for corporate interests. He has not advocated for the American people not once in his career. Additionally, throughout the health care debate he has stridently defended the interests of the insurance companies over and against the interests of regular people. I loathe this man and believe that he will end up on the wrong side of history. Actually, he lacks any distinction to be remembered at all.

Insurance companies are not even allowed to operate between state lines. That's a huge reason for high prices. Worse, it's a complete violation of the powers enumerated to Congress by our Constitution.
Second enumerated power: "To regulate commerce with foreign nations, and among the several states, and with the Indian tribes"
When the Constitution was written "to regulate" meant "to make regular".... to make sure that there WAS commerce between the states.
Not to control every aspect of it.

Barack must stop compromising with Republicans -- THEY'LL NOT SUPPORT HIS PLAN ANYWAY!

although actually there have been a couple insurance companies that are coming around because if more people are covered thats more people that are under some insurance coverage. I can only figure that the profits made from more people being covered are still a lot smaller than what they make now. Because they are charging criminal prices and doing criminal actions like stopping coverage or refusing coverage

to see what insurance companies want just look at who they contributed money too. Blue dogs and republicans have had a lot of contributions from insurance companies. No they wouldnt want Obama care because it would drive insurance costs down and they wouldnt make as much profit. Now the real question is will we bankrupt ourselves while we force insurance premiums to go down. But yeah its obviois insurance companies dont want the public option

Repubs refuse to acknowledge that this country is hurting and needs change. They just want to keep things the same. Time to ram this shit through because we need this now!

We haven't had a free market in healthcare since the 40s. If you agree that healthcare right now is broken, look no further than govt involvement. The problem is that when the govt gets involved and tries to subsidize healthcare, prices become inflated.
Obamacare truly IS socialism! He's using govt power to decide who gets care and when. If we had a true free market, each of us would be able to decide which provider to use and supply and demand would control prices. Win-win!
-
i thought insurance companies are for Obamacare because it means the govt would be pumping billions more into healthcare
-
huh the free market hasn't worked since the 1920.......we haven't had one since then..........and the new health care reform had NOTHING AT ALL TO DO WITH SOCIALISM.......and before you mention it
OBAMA WAS BORN IN THE U.S.A.

The Party of NO strikes again
Armchair critic. "let's not support anything so we can sit back and pick out flaws."
He will be answerable to his constituents for this politically-inspired apathy.
