  • I attemped AFROTC in california. It is not worth it unless you get tons of money from your parents or funding. You have to spend hours and hours doing fundraisers and events and highschool visits etc. I didn't have much money and had to drive at least 1-3 hours there and back several times a week. I then found out that it's a competitive slot to get into field training....switched to ArmyROTC best decision ever.

  • @rauwasp360 That seems biased. I depends HEAVILY on the school you go to.

  • @MarineUSA93 That's not true because only a certain amount in the country get accepted. No school affects it at all except Air Force Academy.

  • @rauwasp360 Oh I see. You are talking about ROTC. This video pertains to "Junior" ROTC.

  • @MarineUSA93 Yeah my bad for not clarifying that.

  • @rauwasp360 It's all good. You did say ROTC and not JROTC. I just read it too quickly. Sorry for the confusion.

  • @merlindsbest i know man my budget it terrible in my old corps. im a corporal in army jrotc and it sucks bc now everything is mandatory bc we may shut the place down bc of the lack of cadets we have to make a batallion

  • @DCfreak87

Yeah, it's just that when I was in the program, funding was more scarce than today. The budget was horrible. We paid out of pocket for most things.

  • @DCfreak87 True they are not... But the US government disagrees with you.

  • @merlindsbest The US Air Force funds our program at mostly all costs. All trips are covered by the USAF as well.
