Just great. I was privileged to see (and meet) Jay McShann in the early `90s in London (Pizza on the Park, Hyde Park Corner) - always remember as one of my favourite musical experiences

Schooled also in jazz and bringing some of its dimensions to the blues, he was one of the greatest blues pianists ever. He was deeply rooted in a Kansas City prewar tradition. He had swing and a deep lyricism.
