This is an old school house that I pass quite often when I visit my cousin.
It is the Wylie school house built in 1850.
Life was simple back than and tough, if you had "to-go" you had to go out back to the outhouse.
No A'C, but the school did have a nice pot belly stove to keep you warm.

  • Great little school house. Looks like they are trying to keep it preserved as it looked back in the 1800's.

There are several old 1 room schoolhouses still around in my area. One of them has been turned into a full time meeting place for AA.

  • @JeffN727 Hi Jeff, Yes they kept it like it was in the 1800's, thats the way it should be.

  • @ControlledExplosions Yes you never know what you may find in your travels.

  • @rrangana11 Hi Ravi, I am too, I hate to see history left to rot away.

Yea the stars are gone, Youtube has a "good" or "bad" rating system (Thumbs)

    Thanks for watching.

  • Hi Bill, Thanks for sharing this historical place. I am really glad to see it is been preserved this long. This reminds me of my high school building in (1978) my village, which is no more and all came down due to termites and no maintenance at all. Again thanks for sharing this video with us.

BTW 5 STARS ***** for this.... but I don't know how to give that :(

    Ravi

  • @old64goat Sure, next time I go on a bike ride i'll bring my camera :-)
