@stefen0603 Ummm... It's called abortion. That would have solved a lot their problems. And their parent's problems. And my own personal distaste for the fact they're on TV problems.
-
@stefen0603 haha your examples are from reality TV... That's sure to get you a realistic representation of life

@TruthandJustice101 she's actually suggesting that girls and women's self worth should not be tied into their sexual choices. Further she is alluding towards media representations which allow for no middle ground, either you are entirely pure or you are a slut/whore which is completely disjointed from reality as most girls lie somewhere in between ...
-
@stefen0603 As a matter of fact Valenti says on one of her books that she's not implying girls should have sex at young age, and that she even thinks some people is not mature enough to have sex at age 30, 40 and so on.
-
@Trutha dJustice101 she's saying that being a virgin or not being a virgin does not change who you are at all. I have no doubt that you are a teenager. (if not, I'd definitely recommend some kind of counselling). It doesn't matter if you're a virgin or bot. No one REALLY cares. So feel free to jump your adolescents bones in the back of his dad's Mazda on prom night.

@TruthandJustice101 Look, first let me omit a weary sigh. Secondly. No. She isn't. Infect, that's not what she's saying vat all. What she's saying is that
-
Are you implying that waiting until marriage prevents unwanted pregnancies?
-
Appreciate you telling me what I already know.
Wait a minute!
Why is she shaming girls who are virgins? Why is she pressuring girls to have sex before they're ready??
She wants all virgins to be ashamed of not being sexual? HUH???

Just so everyone knows waiting is my PERSONAL opinion. I don't care what everyone else does, their lives have no effect on me. But I am not a hypocrite just so everyone knows I practice what I preach. My first time was when I was 20 and married my wife, and now we are expecting a son (she got pregnant on birth control just FYI) and we don't have any drama about it. Oh, and I'm not a fanatic Christian person.

@stefen0603 Well, you married quite young. Most people don't get married till later in life. Then of course there's people who don't get married at all, namely LGBTQ individuals, or just those who choose not to because that's their choice and not everyone has to follow this strict code of how to live their lives. And yes, there's a very slight chance you can get pregnant on birth control, but unless you're forgetting to take your pills, it's not likely...
