I can not stress enough how important it is to MOISTURIZE to get rid of oily skin! People think that they don't need to moisturize if their skin is oily. Your skin is oily because it is trying to make up for not having enough moisture. Get an oil control lotion or moisturizer and put it on after washing your face. It will work all day!!!

This might sound like really strange but I've actually been using Philips milk of magnesia as a primer. It works amazingly. I have extremely oily skin and without it my skin looks oily within an hour, but with it I can go all day and not get oily at all except for maybe a tiny bit around my nose.

I use a moisturizer and my skin is still as oily as it gets without the moisturizer. This does not work for everyone.

I've had oily skin and acne and one thing that helped me out was a talc + rubbin alcohol face mask through the night, that keeps your face dry and oil free through the night because you don't do all those things at night. In the morning I use a pretty light moisturizer after my shower routine (and tonic).
