Hi Kevin,
Can you have a choice whether to have the tubs with the steering on the left hand side in stead on the right and is it from double b design, would you recomend them as a good company and do they ship drawings and castings to where you live but also could they machine if you couldn't cheers Jay

Hello Jay.
As drawn the drawings show the tubs but it is possible to have the conventional tender and Im sure terry at BB has teh drawings for theis option.
I toyed with the idea of putting the stearing on the left as I was building the Mac. Its an easy job to swap sides all you do is cut the stearing shaft boss off the chain drum bracket and through bolt it to the other side of the casting.

You would also need to make up a top suport for teh stearing shaft if fitting to the LHS of the engine. BB will post to you no problem, BB supply good castings that machine easy but dont do a machining service. You do need some big machines to build the 4 inch Mac. Lathe wise you need atleast a 14 inch swing and a 40 inch bed length. Mill wise a Bridgeport will just do it if you have teh riser for the head of teh machine.
Any way all said hows life your end?
Cheers kevin
