As a child, there is something fabled about your family's stories of their youth. For photographer Derek Henderson, those epic tales always took place along the banks of the Waikato River in central New Zealand. In this short, serene film, Henderson physically and figuratively dives into the same waters his mother swam decades ago.
One trip along this remote riverside, and we, like children, are struck with awe.
