very flowing - great for competition...

though if you practice it yourself you should keep in mind that miao dao doesn't have almost any one-handed moves.

also, as this specific form (which jingang mentioned is a variation of one of guo chengsheng's forms) lost it's 'closing the distance' running towards the spear (as this form is about fighting against a long spear).

Actually there are some Miaodao forms that do use a single hand when thrusting, the Silu Miaodao (Four Roads Sprout Saber) form for one.

more pigua miao dao.. characteristic of Pigua: swing near ears. Miao Dao, swing from down to up, so you can identify that is Miao Dao, not Japanese Kindo.
