First, Charlie at 24 years old in his film debut for Mack Sennett in 1914 called "Making a Living". Second, his last film appearance in the film "A Countess from Hong Kong" from 1967.

@Lava1964 Making A Living was released 2-2-1914, A Thief Catcher was released 2-19-1914 :)
I'm wondering if the recently found 1914 Keystone comedy A Thief Catcher, in which Chaplin plays a policeman, actually predates Making A Living.
Thanks for this. What a 53 years he had in films! Nobody else thought of showing his first and last screen appearances. Thanks
