PLEASE READ FIRST:

1) If the prologue is too fast for you, here's what it says:

"The Sentai Series began back in 1975 starting with Shotaro Ishinomori's Himitsu Sentai Goranger. It lasted 2 years and then came JAKQ Dengekitai, another Sentai TV series. After that, in 1979, Sentai became Super Sentai when Battle Fever J came out. Due to its incredible success, the Super Sentai Series spawned other incarnations such as Denshi Sentai Denjiman, Chodenshi Bioman, Hikari Sentai Maskman, and Chojin Sentai Jetman.
Kagaku Sentai Dynaman was the first Sentai to be shown in American public, but it was only short lived and it was only a parody dub.

However, in 1993, Saban Entertainment decided to make an Americanization of 1992's Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger as the first Power Rangers series, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. It wasn't as good as Zyuranger or any of its Sentai counterparts, but it was great. Power Rangers became so popular, that it spawned sequels using footage from other Sentai incarnations such as Ohranger, Carranger, and Megaranger.

Power Rangers in Space was the last continuation of MMPR, and it was awesome. Saban decided that since the internet was growing, that PR should be close to their Sentai counterparts, and slowly, but surely, it was working. And that is why Power Rangers Time Force was considered the second best PR season, though they still needed to stop emphasizing too much on the Battlizers. Power Rangers Wild Force was going to be next on that awesome list of PR shows, and if Saban still made PR seasons, BOTH PR and Sentai would still kick ass today.

However, in 2001, tragedy struck. DISNEY BOUGHT SABAN! Many PR and Sentai fans were greatly upset, and as a result, Power Rangers Wild Force was the only decent PR show from Disney, but it wasn't as good as everyone expected it to be. Then all of the other Disney PR shows such as Ninja Storm and Operation Overdrive were TOTAL GARBAGE!

Super Sentai, however, was still going strong. Here are reasons why Sentai is better than PR and Saban's PR is better than Disney's PR.

Sentai is better than PR because:
1- Storyline is deeper and more developed than PR.
2- More teams and more mecha than PR's Rangers and Zords.
3- Sentai has WAY better music than PR.
4- Sentai has more movies than PR.
5- Sentai OBVIOUSLY had more shows than PR.
6- Only few Sentai shows have had their mecha destoryed, but most of them were repaired.
7- Sentai has more episodes each show than PR's shows, especially Disney.

Saban's PR is better than Disney's PR because:
1- The storylines are deeper and more developed.
2- More episodes and longer battles.
3- They have two movies.
4- They have Ron Wasserman performing the theme songs, and he kicks ass! (Even though he did one for SPD, the only Disney PR show he made a song out of)
5- Disney's special effects are SHIT and they ripoff The Matrix.
6- Disney has POOR FIGHT CHOREOGRAPHY!
7- It would be a good idea for Disney's PR shows to be as deep as Sentai IF they put a lot of thought into them and made them deeper than Saban's PR.
8- Disney has TOO MUCH RED RANGER AND BATTLIZER FOCUS!
(skip #9)

And now the two sides battle......"

2) Even though this is my own opinion and lots of people agree, I feel that nobody should take this video seriously since I put it in comedy format, so DON'T take it seriously. If you have something to say about it, go ahead, but don't attack me.
3) This is a modified version of my original PR vs. SS video, which on my galaxyexpress999 account. I now added more details in the beginning and made it into a Star Wars parody prologue.
4) When I said that "Disney ruined PR" or "Disney's PR shows suck", I wasn't implying that I'm against Disney. I am not against them in any way, shape or form. I praise them for making great movies such as Tron and Pirates of the Caribbean. I just think that they suck at dubbing anime and adapting tokusatsu and they should stop and leave that to companies like Adness Entertainment, Media Blasters, and ADV Films.
5) Even though Sentai will always be better than PR, I think the newest Sentai shows are not as good as the older ones. They're deep, but they don't have the same dark tone as the earlier ones. Ever since Ohranger, Sentai has had a lighter tone EXCEPT with Timeranger, which was the last Sentai series that was very dark and very deep.

  • Super Sentai is the original. Technically, it started in 1979 in Japan with Battle Fever J, but Himitsu Sentai Goranger (1975) and JAKQ Dengekitai (1977) were origins of the franchise and they weren't official until 1995 when Choriki Sentai Ohranger (which was adapted for Power Rangers Zeo in 1996) was released to commemorate Super Sentai's 20th Anniversary.

  • If I had a "Jap" fetish, I would love some of the Saban era PR seasons (Lost Galaxy, Lightspeed Rescue, and Time Force) as well as Kamen Rider Dragon Knight, the American adaptation of Kamen Rider Ryuki.

  • 3 Words- Fuck Power Rangers

Why whenever people see a Super Sentai scene they call it the rip-off known as "Power Rangers"? Super Sentai is WAY better, but why isn't it more popular? I blame Hollywood... I think even Jetman and TurboRanger was better than the first season of MMPR.

In fact, the only two really good series' were the ones from the Saban era, especially Time Force. The only good Disney was RPM.

    Power Rangers 1993-2009

    Super Sentai forever!!

  • i agree. just because you are not seeing blood and gore and adult stuff doesnt mean kids are stupid. some PR seasons were very deep. RPM is the darker and more deeper ones the ever had. saban ruled though at making power rangers.

  • dino thunder is best.

  • @BigUgly73 I don't think odd episodes really work, you've gotta watch from episode one or something like a 6th ranger intro really.

  • and they get a replacement to boot.

Goranger, Battle Fever J and Bioman had this.

Jetman is a different case, since Gai died AFTER they defeated the Vyram.
