I disagree with the commentator, I think they should have left it in. Oh well, I remember reading about the scene years ago, so at least the footage has finally seen the light of day.

No, the fan editor just left it as is. I think he just added different music. All the extended gore scenes from the deluxe edition have been added so that's pretty cool. The only thing making it the perfect extended edition would be audio for this dream sequence but we know that's not going to happen.

The commentator is the director after all and he didn't want to copy himself since that "white eyes" scene was also used in his other film, THE PROWLER. They could have kept her eyes from opening and the scene still would have worked though.

They should've at least made this a deleted scene. It would make the film 10x greater than what it already is.

That sucks that they lost the soundtrack. I would love to see them insert this into an extended version of the flick along with all the other great deleted cuts that are out there.
