@sworteu Well there on ebay..... They use 250-350 watts of power. They arent very efficient. Im not going to use them. But anyways, there called Unite MY1016's

If you go to the "Instructables" website and look for self-balancing, a tutorial on how to build this will come up with about 280 questions and answers in the discussion at the last count covering just about everything. Also links to other projects and videos from people who have built one of these.

@sworteu They can be picked up pretty cheap for £15 each with a £20 delivery charge, if you buy two maybe he will charge you once for delivery

Does a more sensitive sensor make it more responsive or smooth? How Do you connect the motor controller to the arduino?

...and I suppose you used two engines for stability reasons?

My first one had one motor and a large go kart wheel, turned gradually by leaning on one edge of the wheel.
Later ones, including this design have two wheels as you can now turn at fast and slow speeds, and even when stationary, much more practical when people i.e. pedestrians are around.

It is a PID control algorithm - a "combination filter" rather than the much more complex "kalman" filter.
