I've had bourbon French Toast very similar to this, but with a syrup blend made with a very warm blend of maple syrup and a dash of melted caramel. Slightly thicker' than plain maple syrup, but a very nice smooth taste. Then a shot of whipped cream on the side and it was delightful.
