Porter is requested to send over a few fish specimen to a private island in Coral Key Nature Preserve called Pearl Key, where the Nuclear Research Foundation has setup a marine station. However, Porter cannot go, because he is overseeing dredging work being done on the south end of the park, so he sends the boys instead. Although he sends the boys, he warns them to be careful with the specimens, and to not take Flipper, because he will probably make trouble. A very rare fish is kept in a separate tank, and Flipper manages to get in to that tank. After inspection, it looks like Flipper ate the rare fish, so the man giving the boys the tour of the facility says that Flipper must be put down, in order to save the rare fish! Turns out, Flipper is innocent, and a man named Jim who was fired from the Nuclear Research Foundation stole the rare fish. Bud discovers the fish aboard Jim's boat. Jim then kidnaps Bud, but Porter saves the day - and Flipper's life!

  • @ 24:35 it's the same bit of footage that's at :30 of season 1, episode 1.

  • OOH! Did Luke Halpin's hair darken after the first movie in 1963!

  • I remember i couldn't wait to get out of school so i could watch Flipper

  • I remember right after we got a color television, how I was just in amazement how colorful the theme images and graphics were when the first time "Flipper" came on. Something that kids would just take for granted today.

  • Used to watch this every morning before school 40 years ago.

    Thanks for the memories!

  • I miss all of the shows that I grew up with. Thanks for uploading this show. If you hve Gentle Ben or Daktari, upload them. Would appreciate it, thanks.
