This video focuses on Toni Mohr, the 15 year old sophomore from Manilla, in the championship game of the 1976 Iowa Girl's basketball tournament vs. Lake View-Auburn. LVA won the championship over Manilla 60-50. LVA had also won the previous year defeating Mediapolis 51-50 in overtime. The game was the traditional 6 on 6 and Toni played guard, a half-court defensive position. Toni would go on to win her first of three state championships in the open 880 yard run two months after this game. As a freshman Toni anchored Manilla's state champion distance med team the year before. Manilla girls would win the state track title in 1977 and 1978. Toni would win a total of 13 state championships in her high school career.
