Easy now, let's not go crazy over cultural differences. People are people. Power is power. Slavery was world wide. Any culture that lived in riches also had people who were in poverty. There was and always will be "have's" and "have not's". People still take advantage of others and civilization continues in a singular path. The lead female character is so fantastic in this film. Her moves are so spot on. She could take on all the male characters. The progression of female characters of a strong persuasion in Kung Fu moves came really slowly. The documentary "Films of Fury" talks about that. I really enjoyed it. bitly .com/ooGvKw
