She's well spoken.

So sad that what Howard Stern (and a lot of people) predicted happenned: She hasn't gotten any other big-screen offers post-Precious. Hollywood definitely has a problem with black women, especially overweight black women. SO in spite of her Oscar nod and all the accolades, she is basically back to obscurity...

She is such a wonderful person, and you can see in all her interviews, the people interviewing her actually have a good time interviewing her.

@USRecovery2kX Not every movie star is on the more so average weight/fit side. The majority are but there are a number of successful extremely overweight movie stars. So trying to pull the influence card is completely pointless. She got the role and pulled it off well. Her talent is not comparable to that of a brick. It sounds like you need to calm down a bit....all that rage.

She hasn't done shit in a year other than small roles b/c she is NOT attractive & obviously has NO concern for her health since she STILL remains a lard ass with NO obvious change to how large her semi-sized ass is. Why expose the movie-going audience to someone who has no visible concern for her health when children are impressionable & will learn that it's ok to sit on their ass & suck down fried chicken & small children all day.
This girl has as much talent as a brick.

@astrophysicist40 She was a great act in the movie that's why. Maybe if everyone wasn't an asshole more people would have chances to get great roles like her. And her pure talent is what allowed her to be in the limelight not necessarily the stereotypically desired figure. And for the record you really have no love or liking of her if you really are such an asshole as to say she looks like a gorilla. Really fake.
Wow! She doesn't even TALK like Precious. Now that's an actress!!!

@MonaRocks09 Ah, I'm sorry to. I know that not all overweight people are happy about where they are. Many of them also fool themselves into believing they are happy. But in my opinion, I do not believe that looks should stop someone from trying to become something. If one sings badly but loves to sing, then they should sing their heart out. Why, because it makes them happy. It gives the a reason to live. We should always live our lives to the fullest even if we aren't "normal" to society. :]
