  • Jeff, I always read your website reviews and watch your YouTube vids. Really respect your opinion and views. I'm looking for a small, compact handgun for concealed carry. Thinking about either the Ruger LC9 or the LCR in a 38. I want something that I can carry for defense or enjoy shooting at the range for fun. Haven't read anything good about the LC9 (trigger issues, accuracy, etc.) BUT you shot it amazingly well at 45 feet. Any suggestions? I'm open to other models too.

  • I like the LC9. It is a good weapon. I have had three of them here, with no issues except for the one reported in the review on the earliest gun. Also have a look at the Kahr CM9.

  • Jeff, you already pointed me in te direction of the Bersa Thunder .380 as a good (relatively) low recoil option for me, but I have to ask how this LCP compares to it becaise I really want to go with 9mm. Again, as always, THANKS.

  • Very good quality. Recoil will be more than the Bersa 380, but not excessive at all.

  • hello Sir, I am new to guns, I want to get small pistol for my home, don't want to go over 9mm, I was told that .38 is same as 9, just shorter round, how much recoil difference is there between the two calibers? which one would you go if you would only want to own one pistol? Thank You.

  • Recoil will be about the same bettwen a good 38 and a 9mm, in guns of equal weight. The choice just depends upon whether you prefer a revolver or an automatic. I prefer a 9mm auto for home defense, as most modern autos will hold about three times the ammo as will a 38 revolver.

  • I do not. Nothing really wrong with Santa, I guess, except that in the minds of many, Christmas is about Santa, instead of Christ. Santa represents a spirit of "getting", instead of a spirit of hope and salvation. To me, Christmas is a very solemn Holiday. When all of the rush and hurry is over with, I like to go sit on the porch, by myself, and think on the real things of Christmas, instead of all the worldy crap that has become Christmas in the USA.

  • Get the one that you want, without regard to the money. Over the course of time, the 60 bucks makes no difference.
