I am really impressed watching this, usually seeing people holding signs and protesting like everyone else getting no where!, but this is what i like to see!!! ACTION, where the problem is at hand. wow you guys have really come together to get the message of our world needs change.

i believe in activists trying to stand up for what they believe in, but two dickheads sticking a flag onto the side of an oil rig is not going to stop a multi-million dollar business, never mind the entire industry. all that will do is put every day people out of pocket.

On the topic of the boat. Car batteries are recharged by the turning of the wheels brought about by a petrol engine. Your boat needs an equivalent power source as petrol. VAWTs simply can't generate enough energy from wind to move a boat big enough to hold them.

I think the boat you are trying to design is a 'sail' boat. Why don't you look into them instead of JAXA. Good luck reaching the arctic in one of those. I'll see you there.

@hihosh1 It worries me that you have a degree in education and major in economics. If you don't understand why the world hasn't grasped renewable energy with both arms it suggests a lack of even the most basic economic principles. The fact you might then be teaching economics to children's means you have the potential to perpetuate that ignorance.
