@govthey. You made an error. The paper ( Technical Report No. 1553-2) that was written in 1960 by B. Widrow was not about the "Memristor", it was about the "Memistor" a different circuit element. It is an honest mistake.

@govthey. It was 1971 that the memristor was proposed by Leon O. Chua. What source are you referencing to state that it was "named in 1960"? Please post it.
