Thomas J. DeLong is a professor of Management Practice in Organizational Behavior at the Harvard Business School. His research examines why driven individuals become paralyzed by their own success. As managing director of development and human capital at Morgan Stanley, DeLong began his study of high-achieving professionals. He was recruited by the Harvard Business School to teach MBAs and executives about not only leading in professional service firms and strategic human resources but leadership as well. In the past 13 years at Harvard Tom has taught 1000s of students at all levels of their careers how to overcome obstacles and experience organizational and individual change. His new book, Flying Without a Net: Turn Fear of Change into Fuel for Success to be published by Harvard Business School Press in June 2011.
