You're an idiot. The Beastie Boys had to drop out of APW because MCA is sick. This is one of the many well-done homages to such a legendary group. Jay-Z did one, as well.

That aside, Coldplay actually put on a very good show.

I don't think when Coldplay decided to this cover they ever intended on topping the Beastie Boy's version, I think it's just there way of showing their respect for other artists.

i was at the concert they played it in a tribute to the member of the beastie boys. they canceled the tour they day before and the same concert, all points west, it was a great song when they did it live, and i don't think i heard anyone bitching like the people this comment window.
