I have played this scherzo. Chopin has always been described (I think correctly) as the poet of the piano. Unfortunately I found no poetry in this interpretation. This little work is one of my fovourites, It has everything for the pianist: Brilliance, and sonority in the slower parts. You can't add anything to Chopin's music. Played at breakneck speed, most of the exquisite harmonies were entirely lost. So, a far from perfect performance. I'll bet she wouldn't play it like that today!!

Even if this interpretation weren't your cup of tea, how could you deem it so lacking as to merit the clicking of the "dislike" button?? Or maybe some people don't like this Chopin piece. "I'm looking for that one that sounds like rain or whatevers!" Anyway, I think she's fantastic!
Here's something funny I noticed. Almost the minute this video went up there were four dislikes. Since then - none. The same is - more or less - true for each of the other b&w Argerich vids mmoynan uploaded this summer. The small minority who disliked the video all arrived here before the hundred or so others who liked it. No one is going to persuade me that this is a coincidence. It suggests that these four must have seeked out the video *knowing in advance* that they wouldn't like it

@RH98 Interesting observation! I'm certainly not going to dispute your theory. :)
