a stirling engine made of simple materials, only simple tools were used. Nevertheless it is not really a LTD stirling due to high friction. It needs nearly boiling water on the hot side and some small pieces of an ice cube on the cold side to run.

  • How did you make the displacer piston?

  • @technology49 It is a simple piece of styrofoam. Look at my other video "Simple LTD stirling engine" and download the description, how to build this engine, there you can see a picture of the material, that I have used.

  • How did you make your crank?

  • @railrdr523 It's possible that the bottom of the engine is made from steel. When the air expands and contracts, it would flex the bottom of the engine. It doesn't really have anything to do with the displacer hitting the bottom.

  • @railrdr523 It sounds like the bottom of the engine flexing.

  • hei dude.. izit possible 4 me 2 know more about ur LTD stirling engine?? i'm interested to build 1..
