@samanen I had this same issue and it was a loose cable #2 I believe

@80seahawks I don't really know if your cables are just loose or something, might be a good idea to recheck that everything is connected good and so on. I wouldn't use any kind of liquid for electronics - they usually mess up your device. Also it might be the motherboard that is damaged - not the LCD module.

@samanen so i replaced my digitizer once before... i went to replace it again. and went to clean dust and finger prints off the LCD screen and used rubbing alcohol on it. i didnt think it was a good idea but my dad said that he thinks it wouldnt do n e thing to it. now the touch screen doesnt work... cant unlock my phone or shut it off. solution? i ordered a new LCD screen in case the alcohol did ruin the screen....

Can someone tell me if this is a high risk job or not. If I mess up can I go back and fix it?

@chelseaglenn1974 Hello. Seems that your cables are loose or you have touched the motherboard or some other component with your fingers / some metal items such as screwdriver which causes damage. You can try either rechecking your cables or pressing and holding your sleep and home buttons for 10 sec, let me know what kind of result you get!

I just tried the whole process and was completely successful, until I have just discovered that my home button no longer works? Any ideas? Is it something I haven't connected properly? Your help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
