  • L1's, the workhorse of suburban services. Nice to see 'em again. I found the American music a bit incongrous, though.

  • @fredlark Yes maybe the music could be british say Joe Brown, he worked on steam before he became a pop star.

  • I Worked out of Stratford Depot, with the L1 working out of Liverpool st station to Hertford a great engine easy to fire, also on the N7 working to Woolwich to Palace Gates , Enfield and Chingford . bigpond.com Australia

  • @mikan7180 I am glad you enjoyed this film and it reminded you of working on these engines.

  • Wish the A1 Society would build 1 of these instead of 2 P2s

  • @KinletHallsthebest Yes an L1 is much better locomotive for preserved railways than the P2..

  • Also its very sad to see that none of these engines where preserved

  • The L1's are my favorite type of train

  • @KinletHallsthebest I would be quite happy to see an L1- after a J50, a J39 an O2, a V3 and of course a P2

  • The L1 was a indifferent machine when compared the LMS and BR class 4 2-6-4T
