地点：菲律宾首都马尼拉闹市区；

事件：香港康泰旅行社一辆旅游巴士在菲律宾首都马尼拉遭挟持；
人质身份：车上有22人，包括21名香港旅客。
劫持者：为前菲律宾高级督察罗兰多.孟多扎，2008年因为涉及一起与毒品有关的案件以及敲诈罪而被开除，此次劫持的目的是要求警方将他的职位恢复。
官方回应：菲律宾总统府发言人里基表示，总统府不会与劫匪谈判，这样会助长劫匪的嚣张气焰。
进展：香港人质被菲律宾警察无能笨拙的解救害惨，伤亡惨重！
