  • @g7vgg he doesnt say its a fishermans knot. he says it an anglers knot. an angler is not the same as a fisherman.

  • this knot is good for use with anything that requires movement to make it look like bait (perfect for jig heads and some lures)

  • it is a variation of the perfection loop knot. I use the perfection loop for fishing on 2lb test and it is fast to set up and you can control the size of the loop.

  • Er, thats not fishermans knot...A fishermans knot is much easier to tie and tightens onto the hook, not leaving a loose like the knot shown here.

  • wtf its not a fig 8 Lol pay attention

  • can you show us how to tie a noose knot?

    thanks, Joe.

  • Almost like "Russian bowline" knot

  • This is a perfection loop. You've just tied it in a different manner.

This is an acceptable method when you have a rope, but trying to tie it on a fishing line by threading, as this method requires, is more difficult than just a standard perfection loop.

Search for "Perfection Loop" on YouTube for an easier way to tie this loop.

  • it looks like the figure 8 but i will take your word for it

  • ok Im teaching rock climbing I know what I am talking about it is a figure 8 and your a big help teaching people but please use the right name
