A man asked the Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam), "When will the Hour be established O Allah's Apostle?" The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) asked, "What have you prepared for it?" this is Bidah Hasana which is good most of salaf divided bidah in to many different category most of them 5 and some of them said only 2 .. Between Bidah Hasana which is good and Bidah Sa'ye'aa which is Haram ...
Even the Prophet Companions after his death did some Bidah such as the second call to Friday prayer .. and salat al traweeh as group Jama'a ..
If you think they are wrong then you should have a re-look into your faith ..

mashaALLAH, may ALLAH AZZA WA JAL Bless this Shaykh. How many a muslim of any orientation still make celebration os something - somewhere... is not the greatest celebration in remebrance of the reminder of the ALLAH AZZA WA JAL.
