  • OLd school head!!!! Remember seeing him at raves

  • This is all still true!

Let's hear it for all the true venues out there keeping alive the VIBE! No attitudes, no dress codes, just people getting down!

  • Oh and Flammable Liquid was awesome last week. LouR101 aka Babalou ;)

  • It's still happening every month in LA @ Sublevel. Doc is the keeping the flame

  • @alexeykh I mean, people get wrapped up in their status no matter the setting. But in the end it's a decision to let people's pretensions have power over your well-being. Doc is right - the club is one of few places where status has no power over your happiness. Some might not want to share their lollipops or phone numbers, and I've seen these people at the LA clubs. But in the end it gets them nowhere. Even today, the house clubs are where one is most likely to meet genuine people, even in LA.

  • @alexeykh Maybe what he means is that it has no bearing on your ability to express yourself and share yourself with other people. When my friends and I go out dancing, and we're freaking the beat, and we hook up with other dancers who we don't even know who get down with us, no one can deny that we're the happiest human beings on the planet at that moment, and the losers with bottle service who will go to their penthouse and do lines off some mindless lady's boobs don't have a say in it.

  • Awesome.

  • @pedro808 Get real! you might be in the same space dancing together but they're not going to invite you to their table (or whatever) & share their lollipops with you. Also, you guys aren't swapping phone numbers.

  • @alexeykh

The Pre-1992 LA underground scene had no cliques either you were in the know and you were there or you weren't. I recall warehousing it Madonna, Nic Cage and Charlie Sheen and no one cared. Also read i didn't say "rave", once rave came around it all went to shit.

  • @ccdrz nuff said , we all did our part for the scene , now a days !! we all now the story
