@ripperduck Thanks for the heads-up. If I do get to a game up there, I may lay off the cardinal-gold attire. Autzen is just a hard place for opponents (teams & fans) I guess. It has helped Oregon's rise as a national power. One drawback of success & prominence is becoming the focus of opponents hatred & abuse. SC teams/fans have been the focus of hatred for years. It just comes with the success. Oregon now has the success & the rest is likely to follow. NCs, Heismans, Rose Bowls help - a LOT!
@redletter2008 I have to warn you, a visiting team's experience at Autzen is very bad. The Duck fans are probably among the most obnoxious in the nation. At least the Stanford band doesn't want to get into a fight with you. But every game we'll have over a hundred arrests for stupid behavior, in many cases, directed at visiting fans. Not much to do up here and ppl put WAY too much importance with these games. SC fans have much to do and aren't jackasses. Pretty sophisticated actually imo
@ripperduck We are the same age so likely have the same experiences at games. I have been mostly to SC games, but have been fortunate to see them play at UCLA, Stanford, Cal & UW. I would LOVE to see a game at Autzen (with Oregon now having perhaps the best home-field advantage in the Pac). Last year's SC-Oregon game saw some of their best cheerleaders in some time. Oregon is up there now with (IMO) SC & UCLA. Stanford's last night were cute, but that band is overpoweringly obnoxious. A shame.
@redletter2008 I'm 45 yo and my dad was a UCLA grad, much of my family is BAY area and CAL grds, so I've been going to Bruin and CAL games for decades. A few years ago it seems that UCLA realized the power of sideline eye candy, and went out and got themselves some amazing women. Same with Oregon when Phil Knight took over. Stanford's cheerleaders were nothing to speak of but the Dollies were a dance team, and every so often they had some real hotties. Recently they've been so-so...
@ripperduck I guess it's all subjective. I do agree that UCLA has hot cheerleaders (always have) but the SC gals still look fabulous to me. Oregon has some hotties now as well. As for Stanford, - great, great school. However, the Dollies get no coverage any more. And that band - if it can be called that - is an absolutely humiliating embarrassment for such a fine school. They have deliberately insulted every opponent (banned from Oregon & ND). No school should condone such obnoxious behavior.
@TheChuck624 Sorry can't go with that anymore. SC has been running on its reputation for years, UCLA and Oregon have the best now. SC are fine nothing wrong wit em. But having been to many of the PAC-10 games over the years, the real talent now resides somewhere else.
@redletter2008 SC cheerleaders have been running on their reputations for years. I've been to many of the PAC-10, now PAC-12, games over the years, and the Bruins have the best girls now, and Oregon are also among the best. The Stanford Dollies really do come and go, I remember a few years when they were off the charts. Now not so much.
@ripperduck Well, perhaps it's better to have a football team worth cheering for - which UCLA doesn't. Oh, and USC has the best cheerleaders on the West Coast. How original for UCLA - going to Notre Dame and taking their entire circus band also. Where did they get the idea to do that? UCLA's cheerleaders are hot, but that band and football team are jokes - laughing stocks on the West coast and really not given much attention outside the 25,000 "fans" at Rose Bowl. BooHoo Bruins. No RB in 12 yrs.
Damn, there isn't ONE ND cheerleader who could even make the second round of cheerleader tryouts at UCLA. They are so far ahead of us in that category. I can think of maybe one that we had within the last ten years who could have been considered. Bruins/Oregon cheerleaders are the best on the West Coast, it aint close.

They are fairly decent considering USC has all the "real" talent in Pac 10 cheerleading.
