This is a great development success story. Since 2007, Plan has built more than 2,400 water tanks for families in remote areas of Guatemala. Before that, villagers had to search for water in underground caves, or walk for hours to fetch water from rivers and springs. In Alta Verapaz, the project was so successful that the local government decided to prioritize this project, allocating 8 million USD over 5 years to replicate this water tank model throughout the region. In this film, Dona Natividad shows us how the tank works!
